Scope of Works

ATOL was appointed to work on multiple million historic refurbishments, specialist experience in delivering comprehensive fire stopping and fire coating systems installations, ATOL prides itself on the approach of working within the historic sector assure working with all parties to keep the framework of the historic building.

This multi-million-pound project involved the complete refurbishment of the Chatham Dockyard, reinstating some of the building’s industrial features that were lost or fell into decay. The recent installation of Glulam (CLT) structures to be protected from the spread of the fire was our first port of call.

ATOL had the immense pleasure to be apart of the renovation and complete fire protection of such a Chatham Dockyard in the local area. Our team worked tirelessly to provide protection from fire for the building and its new tenants but offer an unrivaled finish to both Glulam and CLT timber substrates to complement the quality workmanship of the principal contractor.

Preparation

Masking exposed walls/ceiling and protection floor to assure protection from overspray. Check all substrates for moisture content. Lightly sanding down the surface ready for the application of the fire treatment.

Installation

We provided both CLT fire protection along with treatment to both new Glulam timber and existing oak beams.

A project we are truly proud of and the final results, bringing such an industrial, original building back to its former glory.
